I clean out the old, cut a clean edge, and lay fresh mulch or pine straw at the right depth so it actually does its job and stays looking sharp. It’s the kind of refresh that makes the whole property read as cared-for.
Pine straw is a natural fit for the Upstate — it looks right under our pines and holds well on a slope. I’ll steer you to whichever your beds want.

Mulch or pine straw?
Both work. Mulch lasts a bit longer and comes in colors; pine straw is lighter, cheaper to refresh, and holds on slopes. I’ll match it to your beds.
How often should beds be refreshed?
Most beds want a refresh once or twice a year — a top-up in spring, sometimes again in fall. I can set that up on a schedule.
Do you haul off the old material?
Yes — cleanout and haul-off come with it. The dump trailer means it all leaves with me.
