A gravel driveway that washes out, a pad for a shed or addition, a yard that won’t level — I shape it so water sheds and the surface holds.
Excavating
Grading is the difference between a driveway that lasts and one that washes out every spring. On our red-clay ground, water is always looking for the low spot — so I grade with a fall that sends it off the surface instead of down the middle of your drive. Same idea for a building pad: level, compacted, and shaped to drain, so whatever goes on top of it stays put. I bring the machine, cut it right the first time, and haul off what doesn’t belong.
Washed-out gravel drives are one of the most common calls I get. Graded right, with a real crown and a place for water to go, they stop washing.

How I approach it

Read the ground
I look at how water runs now and where it should go, then set the grade around that.

Cut & shape
Cut the high spots, fill the low ones, and build the fall the surface needs.

Compact
Compact it so it doesn’t settle or rut the first time it’s loaded.

Finish clean
Grade the edges, set any culvert, and haul off the spoil.

Can you fix my washed-out gravel driveway?
Yes — that’s a regular job. I regrade it with a proper crown and drainage so it stops rutting and washing.
Do you supply and haul in the gravel?
Yes — I can supply and haul in the gravel, or grade and shape what’s already there. Whatever the driveway needs.
Do you set culverts?
Yes — I set culverts as part of grading and driveway work when the drainage calls for one.
